Ready for the New Year?

So I’ve undergone several changes on this blog domain brain boggling stuff and finally believe this is where I will be for awhile. I wanted to use WP, I just don’t have the patience – so this is where I am. So I’m partially up, still deciding on a header, layout, pages, etc.

This upcoming year (as in 2 days) my main goal will be to simplify my life.

By ‘my life’ I mean:

Cut down on the ridiculous amount of TV that I have gotten sucked into.
Remove items/things in my home that I haven’t used in months years.

Even though I hate to say it, go through my books and give to the library the ones that I’m not going to read again, and if by chance someday I want to, I’ll know where to go.

I could go on and on with that list but I won’t… but by simplifying I’m going to be doing that some here on my internet house as well. (That’s what I’ve started to refer to my blog as, my little internet room, one day I’ll have a ‘woman cave’ as Mr. B would say, but right now it’s on inter-world land somewhere…)

Anyhoodle, back to what I was saying. I’m still going to do my little paragraph reviews on the books I’m currently reading, and you’ll still be able to click on the link bar to get there – they just won’t have their ‘own’ (per say) page. I will still be posting some of the reciepes – they will just be included within the rest of everything… are you sensing a pattern?

I used to think that by giving everything it’s own little corner of the world that it was simpler and more efficient and whatever else my brain thought it was (I’m not so sure). But I’m learning, I really like things streamlined everything in it’s place - in a minimalistic type way, hence my goal for 2010 is to streamline my own life weeding out the bad planting in the good and getting rid of all this useless cluttering junk that lays around and does nothing except collect dust.

So January 1, 2010 I am ready for you – are you ready for me?

Just for kicks I’ll leave you with a picture of Pierre one of our now 7 aquatic family members (soon to be more as we just got a fantastic deal on a 55 gal tank, how will I ever remember all of their names?!?).

I think it’s about time for Mr. B and I have some children to take care of, name, and take pictures of… what do you think?
